Volunteers

WALT’s primary aim is to reduce social isolation and feelings of loneliness in ME5 area and to be the ‘go to’ for local people who want to make a difference in other local peoples’ lives.

Our volunteers are a big part of who and what WALT is about and without them we would not be able to offer the services that we provide.

There are many lonely and isolated people in ME5, much of our work involves supporting these by coordinating our generous team of volunteers to deliver a wide variety of services and support.

By volunteering with us at WALT, you will be joining a compassionate team committed to uplifting the people we work with and offering them the opportunity to talk with someone who cares and to get “out and about” in ME5. That could be through a quick, friendly chat about their day or catching up at one of our community events or spaces.

There is no set number of hours that we expect you to volunteer, and we are grateful for any time that you can give us, but due to our regulations all volunteers must be 18 or over.

We have several volunteer opportunities: -
